The Vampire Larp of the Metagamers, now in its fifth year, is a Vampire: the Masquerade Larp that takes place on odd-numbered Fridays of every month during the school year in the Foreign Languages Building. The head storyteller is Dashifen.
The larp is set in the mythical city of Metatropolis, which bears a startling and intentional similarity with Champaign-Urbana. Originally, when one of the other campus larps, Elysium on the Prairie, was affiliated with the national One World By Night larping organization, they held their game in a world-of-darkness-version of Champaign-Urbana and we didn't want to conflict with that game nor did we want to confuse potential players. Now the tradition of Metatropolis is too strongly entrenched in our game to change.
