Dark Heresy

In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only even more grim darkness. It is the 41st millenium, the age of the Imperium of Man, and among untold billions of lives that spread across the galaxy, it is up to a small group of Inquisitorial acolytes to ensure the survival of humanity. Yes, them, not the countless numbers of the Imperial Guard, the powerful ships of the Imperial Navy, nor the mighty warriors of the Adeptus Astartes. May the God-Emperor have mercy on our souls...
Dark Heresy, the first game of the Warhammer 40,000 Roleplay series, finally brings the dark fantasy/sci-fi setting the the tabletop game Warhammer 40,000 to the realm of pen & paper roleplaying. Players take on the role of acolytes of the Inquisition, hunting down mutants, aliens, daemons, and whatever other enemies treaten the Imperium. It\'s hardly about going in guns blazing, though. Often enough, the acolytes have to undergo investigations to root out heretics, but when the fighting does come around, there\'s certainly a whole lot of bloody violence to go along with it, often inflicted on the squishy acolytes themselves with hilarious results. Don\'t let the fear of death discourage you, though. Although the game is known for having a particularly higher mortality rate than most, playing it smart should keep you alive. Most of the time, anyway.
Because nobody else was doing so, Chad Zamzow decided to run Dark Heresy himself to provide a roleplaying venue for fans of Warhammer 40,000 and its setting, certainly a much cheaper endevour than the tabletop game itself. He\'s a first-time GM and rather new to pen & paper roleplaying games, in general, but he\'s willing to go through with it as long as there are players willing to join, up to a maximum of five. Games are currently scheduled to take place on a weekly basis on Thursday evenings, but that can change depending on the availability of all the players. Eventually, the game may transition into the second one of the Warhammer 40,000 Roleplay, Rogue Trader, whenever it comes out.

An even more militant member of the Holy Adeptus Ministorum who keeps an unusually large sword close at hand, not to mention a stock of grenades.
